About Us Thanks for taking an interest in us and our business! In June 2000, Paul Addison and Karen Raymond bought Atlas Chem-Dry from Paul's retiring boss, Ken Pollok. At first they could only afford half of the business, covering areas from Clarence Park and Goodwood out to Mawson Lakes, Golden Grove and Greenwith. It wasn't until 2005 that they were able to expand to include the southern franchise areas that extend to Hallett Cove, Morphett Vale, Woodcroft, Seaford and Moana. In August 2008 Atlas Chem-Dry bought A1 Chem-Dry, doubling customer numbers and extending their coverage to Salisbury, Elizabeth and as far as Gawler, still with their base in Prospect (Adelaide). Up until this time the primary focus was on carpet and upholstery cleaning. During the transitioning years, fridge magnets were distributed with various numbers, all of which have been gradually phased out, and we now keep it simple with just our local number 8269 2626. The southern area was also renamed A-Class Chem-Dry for a few years but is all now Atlas Chem-Dry again. Paul, Karen and the crew embarked on a program of advanced dedicated professional development in 2008, which saw them introduce tile and grout cleaning and sealing and specialist carpet stain removal services. More recently they set up a dedicated specialist rug cleaning service, working wonders with wool, nylon, polypropylene, acrylic, even silk and hand-woven persian rugs, they now pick up and deliver in Adelaide metropolitan areas. Paul and his technicians have become proficient at stripping and sealing vinyl floors now and we have many dramatic before and after photos on our Facebook page. Paul is a perfectionist whose excellent work and client rapport have earned him many loyal customers over the past 17 years. He puts the satisfaction of his customers above all else and is always resourceful. He trains and encourages his staff to work in this way. Paul and Karen employ staff with 'can do' attitudes who are hard-working individuals, with a similar, service-orientated work ethic. We are committed to excellence with Chem-Dry's carbonated carpet cleaning system, which we believe is the best on the market. Life and business are all about people. We'd like to introduce ours...    Paul & Karen have been making a marriage and business partnership work successfully for 12 years. Mick Z, Atlas Chem-Dry's Customer Service Star 3 years running, has been working with Paul since the 90s! Julie is our Office Manager and since August 2007, has been an integral part of the customer service team. Mick E has been with us for almost 8 years, bringing carpet industry and management experience to the team. Jeremy has been cleaning with the Chem-Dry system for almost 5 years, with a smile that can light up a room. Octavia, the youngest member of our team, helps on Saturdays in customer service and administration.  Karl is a friendly, enthusiastic technician with a high care factor - nothing is too much trouble for Karl. Aaron has earned his stripes, his energy is infectious and his customer care skills just perfect for our culture.    Matt is a common sense kind of guy, always ready and willing to lend a hand, he has a kind nature.  Jen is the sweet sound you hear on the phone and also our social media expert, she loves to tweet! Gail is our special, secret squirrel, keeping Jeremy and Mick Z on track as they service the southern areas.  We are proud of our history and how we have built the business.
